Story Time With Author Denise Vega

Join us for a very special afternoon as author Denise Vega reads her book, Adela’s Mariachi Band — a colorful, jubilant picture book about a young girl who dreams of joining her family’s mariachi band. Bright Futures Book Club is a drop-in storytime featuring local authors reading their own children’s books aloud. This is a bilingual event in both English and Spanish, and is open to everyone. No registration is needed. We’d love to see you there!

🎟️This FREE family-friendly event that transforms a gymnasium into a whimsical, child-scaled town—built just for kids! Designed for children ages 1–6 and their families, this interactive experience invites children to explore everyday community spaces through imaginative, hands-on play. If you spot our FISH staff, be sure to say hi!

Registration is encouraged but not required.

Stamp Out Hunger

📍Your Home Mailbox!

Help FISH “STAMP OUT HUNGER” during the National Association of Letter Carriers’ food drive on Saturday, May 9th! Look for the Stamp Out Hunger bags in the mail, fill them with non-perishable food donations, and leave them by your mailbox on Saturday, May 9th for your postal carrier to collect.

Want to participate from the comfort of your own home? Here’s how:

1️⃣ Check your mailbox for the yellow Stamp Out Hunger bag (or use your own).

2️⃣ Fill it with non-perishable food items.

3️⃣ Leave it by your mailbox for your mail carrier to collect.

Your letter carrier will collect the donations as part of their regular route, and all collected food will be delivered to Broomfield FISH to help feed our neighbors in need.

The following items are most needed: crackers, condiments, dry pasta cereal, cooking oil, baking mixes, broth, soup, juice, and canned corn, but we’ll take whatever you have to give!
